The headquarters for the Staffordshire Housing Association is a low energy, low maintenance building, mainly organised on two floors. The daylit, flexible office spaces face south towards a landscaped garden. All ‘service areas’ are grouped on the north side. The north elevation is insulated with coloured, corrugated cardboard and clad with glass as a rainscreen. In collaboration with artist Clare Brew a lighting system was created, allowing the coloured cardboard glow at night.
